U.K. BUDGET:
Government Aids Science Teaching, Streamlines Research Funding

CAMBRIDGE, U.K.--In its 2006-'07 budget, the United Kingdom will spend more on secondary school science education, restructure funding councils that oversee biomedical and physical sciences, and create a "radically simplified" method of allocating research overheads to universities. (Read more.)
