About the Cover


The Gordon Research Conferences have been holding meetings in Europe since 1990. These meetings attract an international selection of scientists for discussions at the frontiers of fundamental science and technology in the biological, chemical, and physical sciences. In the fall of 1996, Gordon Conferences will convene at Queens College, Oxford (cover); Pruhonice in the Czech Republic; and two sites in Japan. See page 826 for scheduling information.
